Interoffice Tokyo headquarters/showroom is currently holding an exhibition event “Artek for Contract – Timeless Journey” with Finnish interior brand Artek to introduce their efforts in the contracting scene.

Artek was founded in Helsinki in 1935 with the goal of “promoting modernist culture not only by selling furniture, but also through exhibitions and educational activities. Artek furniture has been designed as part of architecture and has emerged from projects. From public spaces such as schools, libraries, restaurants, and hotels, to workplaces and homes, each piece is shaped to meet the needs of its place of use.

This exhibit will feature scenes from the contract, including a meeting space coordinated with customized colors and a lounge area combined with second-cycle furniture. Materials, structure, durability, and the way they are used. We hope that visitors to the exhibition can experience how a design that was created with the assumption that it will be used for a long time will fit into a space.

During the first half of the exhibition, “One Stool, One Story,” a charity auction project commemorating Interoffice’s 50th anniversary, will be held until February 24 (Tue.). Please enjoy the special one stool designed by various creators under the theme of “something that can be used for a long time” using Altec’s “Stool 60” as a canvas.
